TBall & Coach Pitch- Typically end of May-June
TBall- Ages 4-6 Typically- This group will focus on fundamentals! How to hold your glove, catching, throwing, and batting stances will be the primary focus with fun scrimmages to follow. Meant for beginners and parents are encouraged to help the coach on the field.
Coach Pitch-Ages 6-8 Typically- This group will continue with fundamental development but with learning to improve form work of catching and throwing and learning how to hit without the aid of the Tee. Meant for kids who are not ready for competitive play on a traveling team.
Baseball & Softball-Typically end of May through end of July
8U Baseball & Softball-Ages 7 & 8-This group is a travel team and will be competitive. Will continue to work on form and improving overall understanding of the game. Meant for kids who can hit a pitched ball without the aid of a Tee consistently.
10U Baseball & Softball- Ages 9 & 10- This group is a travel team and will be competitive. Will continue to work on form and improving overall understanding of the game.
12U Baseball & Softball- Ages 11 & 12- This group is a travel team and will be competitive. Will continue to work on form and improving overall understanding of the game.
Basketball - January-February
For ages Kindergarten through 2nd grade practices are held Saturday mornings for both boys and girls. This time is to build fundamentals of dribbling, shooting, and defense.
3rd grade through 5th grade: These are traveling teams that are ran outside of the scope of MYO.
Soccer-
Looking for volunteer coaches for this activity, but will continue to offer drop in nights.
Volleyball - March-April
For kids 1st grade through 6th grade. Practices are held 1 to 2 times per week depending on age group. Kids in grades 4th-6th will have games and tournaments as scheduled by the head coach. Kids will learn fundamentals of the game including, passing, serving, and hitting.
Football- September-October
Kindergarten- 2nd grade will play flag football with practices concentrating on fundamentals of the game including proper throwing and catching techniques and play running.
3rd grade-5th grade will play tackle football with practices continuing fundamentals of throwing and catching along with proper tackling techniques.
Rec Sports- June-August
Recreational sports is for K-5th (K-2nd one hour, 3-5th the next hour) - kids play fun games like: kickball, wiffle ball, tennis, dodgeball, tag, pickle ball, etc. Focuses on fun, being active, and group cooperation skills.
